What is not to love about the beauty of a classic car?
From the days when form and function were intertwined with aesthetics.
Heck! We could even manufacture them here in good old Blighty!
The inspiration for this piece is pretty obvious, as Enzo Ferrari himself proclaimed the E-Type to be the most beautiful car ever made.  I think it's fair to say that he knew a thing or two about the subject.
As those sent to Coventry may say 'E, she's just your type'.

About this artwork

Following Jaguar's success at the Le Mans 24 hr race during the 1950s with the beautiful D-Type, the racing department was given the brief to use D-Type style construction to build a road-going sports car to replace the also stunningly beautiful XK150.

The E-Type was designed by Malcolm Sayer, who was an aircraft engineer during the second world war and later became an automotive aerodynamist.  This expertise undoubtedly assisted in the E-Type achieving a claimed top speed of 150 mph (241 km/h) along with 60mph realised in less than 7 seconds from standstill.

The E-Type was launched at the Geneva Auto Salon in March 1961 whereupon it immediately stole the show and made headlines worldwide.

The example depicted is an early car, a 1964 Series 1.

Value

My limited edition prints are of the highest quality and should be considered to be an investment.
There is so much more passion and soul in a painting, which cannot be conveyed in a photograph - and I love photography.
You will forever be rewarded through the ownership of something that provides you with great satisfaction and pleasure each time you see it.
It will certainly be a statement piece and generate conversation and perhaps even envy from visitors and friends alike.
Thank you
